Jimanica

15才よりドラムを始める。武蔵野美術大学映像学科卒業後、渡米。 NYでフリーランスドラマーとしてマンハッタン、ニュージャージーを中心にハウスバンドを務め、R&Bやhiphopのセッション、またはジャムバンドに加入し、数枚のレコーディング作品を残す。2000年帰国。自身のユニットを結成し、クラブや野外フェスなど東京を中心に活動を開始。2005年ドラムソロ・アルバム“Entomophonic”（mao）をリリース。以降ドラム + PCでのソロライヴの他、国内外問わず多数アーティストと共演。2006年にd.v.dを結成、日本国内ではコーネリアス、Plasticsとの共演、海外ではヨーロッパ、韓国、オーストラリアなど各地で公演を重ね、活動の場を再び海外にも広げる。2007年にAmetsub(PROGRESSIVE FOrM)とのデュオユニットJimanica : Ametsubを結成。ミニアルバム"Surge"のリリース以降、数々のライブフェスに出演。同時にサポートとしてDE DE MOUSEやWorld's end Girlfriendへ参加。近年では不破大輔、辰巳光英（渋さ知らズ）との即興トリオとしてライブも開始するなど、セッションドラマーとしても精力的に活動。またミシシッピ出身のブルースシンガーSteve Gardnerのドラマーも務めるなど、まさにポピュラー・ダンスミュージックから即興〜エレクトロニカまでを横断するスタンスは独自のスタイルを築きあげる。

伊藤桂司 (UFG)

1958年東京生まれ。広告、書籍、音楽関係のアートディレクション、グラフィックワーク、映像等を中心に幅広く活動する。 1999年ニューヨークADCゴールド・アワード、1998/2000年メリット・アワード、コンバース・キャンペーン広告のアートワークにより2001年度東京ADC賞を受賞。
これまでに、雑誌「SWITCH」「BRUTUS」「流行通信」「casaBRUTUS」「relax」「Cut」等のカバーアート、「Esquire」「Studio Voice」「GQ」、海外では "SURFACE" "GANZFELD" "FIDGET" "ZOO" "Black Book" "Loyal" 等のグラフィックワーク、音楽関係では、テイ・トウワ、バッファロー・ドーター、キリンジ、野宮真貴、一青窈、ボニー・ピンク、オレンジ・ペコー、 ELT、山弦、宇多田ヒカル、竹村延和、井上陽水奥田民生、福岡ユタカ、Keal'l Reichel 等のCDジャケットやビデオクリップ、ほかに、NTT DOCOMO i-modeサイトの「モバイル・アート」、愛知万博EXPO2005世界公式ポスターのアートワーク等を手掛ける。

Ryu Konno (Turntables&Electronics/ RefRain Records)

昆野立 (コンノリュウ)。そのDJスタイルはブレイクビーツ、Worldミュージック、テクノ/ハウス、ラテン/ジャズを中心とし、柔軟に変化する自由で物語性の高い選曲を見せる。随所で繰り出されるまるで楽器のパートのような鋭くリズミカルなスクラッチも見所のひとつ。近年はスクラッチ、エフェクト、オリジナルトラックを駆使したDJと生楽器、DJとLAPTOPミュージックとのセッションライブ等も精力的に行い、DJとしてレコーディングにも参加。2008年大型野外フェスティバルSense of Wonderに出演。トラックメイカーとしても2005年コンピレーションアルバムへの参加によりデビュー。2009年にRefRain Recordより新作の発表を予定している。

ミュージシャンのDJ Codomo、アニメーション作家のせきやすこ、イラストレーターの野口路加の３人による異色のVJユニット。コンピューターグラフィックスや、録画素材をいっさい使用せず、ビデオカメラの下で、水、キッチン用品、文房具、おもちゃ、印刷物など、日常にある様々なものを用い、リアルタイムに色鮮やかな映像をつくり出すライブパフォーマンスを展開中。

Drummer/Laptop musician.
Born in Tokyo in 1975, he started playing drums at 15 years old. After graduating from the Faculty of Visual Arts at Musashino Arts University, he made the move to New York in 1998 to begin a career as a freelance drummer. The year 2000 brought him back to Tokyo, where he soon formed the band 'moai' amongst a series of activities as a session player on numerous recordings and live performances.
In 2005, he unveiled his electronic/noise-based solo project 'Jimanica', releasing his first drum solo album 'Entomophonic' from the vanguard 'mao' label. after releasing that album, he started his career as a solo live performance artist. and meantime he gets many offers to play with various artists such as Damo Suzuki, Mitsuru Nasuno, Han Bennink, etc...
In 2006, he formed "d.v.d" with Itoken and Takashi Yamaguchi. They started to spread that activities in all over the world ....participating "Transmediale 08" in Berlin, touring Europe, Korea, Australia and so on. They got a prize "Honorary mentioned" in Ars Electronica 08.
In 2007, He met an electronica artist "Ametsub", and they formed a duo unit "Jimanica : Ametsub". They released a first mini album "Surge", their live performance always makes great reputation.
Jimanica still spreads his career to new era.

Born in Tokyo, 1958. Art Director, Painter. Main works are, art direction and art work for Advertisement, book, music CD sleeve, Video clip, etc. EXPO 2005 official posters are his recently work. NY ADC Gold awards 1999 by art works for "BIG MAGAZINE", Merit awards 1998 by art works for "T.C.K/", 2000 by a book design of Rebecca Brown "Folie a Deux". Tokyo ADC awards 2001 by art works for "Converse" press campaign.
Cover art works in Japanese magazine for "SWITCH" "BRUTUS" "Ryuko-sushin" "casaBRUTUS" "relax" "Cut", other grafical works for "Esquire" "Studio Voice" "GQ"etc, . And in foreign magazine "SURFACE" "GANZFELD" "FIDGET" "ZOO" "Black Book" "Loyal" etc, .

Taking their inspiration from moments and objects from everyday life, visual unit onnacodomo make the ordinary decidedly extraordinary. Eschewing computer-generated graphics or recorded material, the three members (DJ Codomo, Yasuko Seki and Ruka Noguchi) perform in real time using a video camera to capture their spontaneous creations.
Shimmering projections are created using water, mirrors and an array of lights, while a world of fantastic images is constructed with found photos, kitchen utensils, toys, stationary and improvised artwork.
Kaleidoscopic, absurd and unreal, onnacodomo takes you into a slightly-unhinged world that is absolutely original in its conception.
