山本精一
音楽家。1958年、兵庫県尼崎市生まれ。
1980年代後半よりBoredomsにギタリストして参加。並行して自身のリーダー バンドである想い出波止場や羅針盤を結成。90年代に入ってからは、電動歯、赤武士、ザ・ ハッピー・カウボーイズといったBoredomsのメンバーとの別プロジェクトや、NovoTono、Rovo、Ya-To-I、Mostといったバンドに参加し、ギタリストと して、あるいはコンポーザーとして中心的な役割を担う。 21世紀以降も、TEEM、Para、カオス・ジョッキーなどのプロジェクトを次々と始動。加 えて、国内外のミュージシャンとのさまざまなコラボレーション、さらには映画音楽にいたるまで、ソロを含め、多彩な音楽フィールドでジャンル・バ スターのごとく活動を展開する。

ミヤ・マサオカ
ニューヨーク在住。クラッシック音楽、作曲、楽器創作などを手がける。琴、センサーインターフェース、パソコン、ビデオ、サウンドインスタレーションを使った作品を中心に、アンサンブル、 室内管弦楽、 混声合唱等の多様な作曲活動も行う。アメリカ国内では、Bang on a Can、 So Percussion、ROVA saxophone、San Francisco Choir等でパフォーマンスを行い、国外では、 ２００４年開催のビエンナーレ美術展、 ロッテルダムのV2、パリのIrcam、ヴェニスではKunstRadio, ドイツではRadio Bremanなどで国際的な活躍をする。Pauline Oliveros, Ornette Coleman, Cecil Taylor, Reggie Workman, Andrew Cyrille, Toshiko Akiyoshi, Fred Frith, Ikue Mori, Zeena Parkins, ROVA他の著名人との音楽活動も精力的にこなす。

田中悠美子
東京芸術大学楽 理科在学中より文楽の人間国宝、故・野澤錦糸に義太夫三味線を、語りを女流義太夫の人間国宝、竹本駒之助に師事し、女流義太夫の三味線弾きとして活動。1990年度芸術選奨文部大臣新人賞受賞。現在は、国内外における現代音楽の演奏、ニュー・ミュージックのフィールドにおける即興演奏、音楽劇におけるパフォーマンス、ダンスとのコラボレーションなど、実験的な表現活動を通して、三味線や日本の声の可能性を検証中。ドイツの作曲家ハイナー・ゲッベルス演出による音楽劇 "Hashirigaki" 世界ツアー (1999～2004)におけるパフォーマンスは、The GardianやNew York Times誌で好評を得た。また、2004年、ニューヨークの人形アーティスト、バジル・ツイストが制作した舞台作品”Dogugaeshi”では音楽作曲および演奏を行い、同作品はThe New York Innovative Theater Award、The Bessie's New York Dance and Performance Awardsを受賞した。2004年春、ソロCD 'tayutauta' リリース。2006年、アジアン・カルチュラル・カウンシルのフェローシップ、2008年度文化庁在外研修によりNYに滞在。

Marcos Fernandes
横浜で生まれたマルコス・フェルナンデスは、カリフォルニアで30年以上、パフォーマー、プロデューサー、キュレイターとして過ごしました。米国、カナダ、メキシコ、香港、日本の各地で、ソロのインプロバイザー、フォノグラファーとして公演し、またパーカッショニスト、サウンドアーティストとしてさまざまなアンサンブル、ダンサー、ビジュアルアーティスト達と共演してきました。フェルナンデスの作品はAccretions、Bake/Staalplaat、Circumvention、Pax、Pfmentum、Phonography.org、Public Eyesore、Solitary B他から50点以上発表されています。

Seiichi Yamamoto
Born in Amagasaki, Hyogo prefecture, 1958.
In the second half of the '80s, Yamamoto played guitar in Boredoms and formed the groups Omoide Hatoba and Rashimban. Since then he has been involved in a large number of projects and bands. From solo performances to collaborations with musicians from Japan and other countries, to film music, all the way to design, illustration, and writing, Yamamoto's activities are truly diverse.

Miya Masaoka from NYC
Miya Masaoka, musician, composer, performance artist, has created works for koto, laserinterfaces, laptop and video and written scores for ensembles, chamber orchestras and mixed choirs. In her performance pieces she has investigated the sound and movement of insects, as well as the physiological responses of plants, the human brain, and her own body. Within these varied contexts of sound, music and nature, her performance work emphasizes the interactive, live nature of improvisation, and reflects an individual, contemporary expression of Japanese gagaku aural gesturalism.

Yumiko Tanaka
Yumiko Tanaka was born in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture. While a student majoring in musicology at Tokyo University of Fine Arts and Music, Tanaka was attracted to the timbre of the gidayu-shamisen (also known as the futozao, or thick-necked, shamisen), which accompanies gidayu-bushi in Bunraku, traditional Japanese puppet theater. In 1979 she began studying gidayu recitation with female gidayu recitation artist Komanosuke Takemoto (a Living National Treasure), and the following year became a Bunraku disciple of the late gidayu-shamisen master Kinshi Nozawa (who was also a Living National Treasure). Since her debut, Tanaka has been very active as a shamisen and vocal musician, not only in the world of traditional Japanese music, but also in contemporary music, free jazz, new music, dance, theater, etc.

Marcos Fernandes
Born in Yokohama, Japan, Marcos Fernandes has long been active in San Diego as performer, producer and curator. He has performed in Japan, Hong Kong, Mexico, Canada and the US as a solo improviser, phonographer and as percussionist/sound artist with various ensembles. Fernandes runs the artist-based independent label Accretions,home to some of today's more innovative experimentalists. He is a founding member of the Trummerflora collective, dedicated to creative music in Southern California. Fernandes' recordings have appeared on Accretions, Bake/Staalplaat, Circumvention, Pan Handler, Pax, Pfmentum, Phonography.org, Public Eyesore, Ribosome and Solitary B
