##Ballrogg + Ivar Grydeland (from Norway)
ノルウェーのギタリスト、ペダルスティールギタリストIvar Grydeland(Huntsville、Dans Les Arbres、Hanne Hukkelberg)をグループに迎えてからは、映画的サウンドをさらに大規模な世界へと発展させている。

##高岡大祐 (tuba) + Darren Moore (drums, from Singapore)

About Test Tone….

[Test Tone Homepage](http://www.soundispatch.com/ttsnews/) [Cal Lyall and Yasufumi Suzuki Special Interview!! (JP only)](http://sdlx.blogspot.com/2008/12/blog-post.html) Featuring: Ballrogg + Ivar Grydeland (from Norway) Seijiro Murayama + Takahiro Kawaguchi Daysuke Takaoka (tuba) + Darren Moore (drums, from Singapore) DJ: Evil Penguin Artist Information: ##Ballrogg + Ivar Grydeland (from Norway) ![/sdlx/121211-ballrogg.jpg](/sdlx/121211-ballrogg.jpg) Very much in demand as two of Norway's newest jazz innovators, Klaus Ellerhusen Holm (sax and clarinet) and Roger Arntzen (double bass) formed the duo Ballrogg to explore the acoustic extremities of their instruments. Involved in a range of diverse projects outside the duo, they bring a virtuosic range to Ballrogg's singular sound, creating soundscapes that are deeply disturbing and, at times, stunningly beautiful. After recently joining forces with the great Norwegian guitar and pedal steel guitar player Ivar Grydeland (Huntsville, Dans Les Arbres, Hanne Hukkelberg), this group is expanding their cinematic sound universe into grand territories, offering a musical lookout to some truly monumental moments. Murayama has been active on the worldwide stage as a percussionist and drummer since the 70s, playing regularly with the likes of Fred Frith, Tom Cora, Keiji Haino and Benjamin Thigpen through the 80s and 90s. Kawaguchi began his sonic explorations in his native Osaka, using live performance as an opportunity to present his evolving installation-style pieces. With everyday objects (like electric motors, scrunched plastic bags and ceiling fans) or simply using the acoustics of the space as his canvas, his performances sometimes resemble four or five science experiments happening all at once. These two conjoined will be something extraordinary indeed. Teaming up with mercurial tuba leviathan Daysuke Takaoka (who now plays regularly with sax legend Akira Sakata) we can look forward to some precarious musical mastery of the highest order. Bring a helmet, goggles, and a map to find your way home after your mind is completely blown. The Test Tone series aims to offer a venue for diverse and challenging artists to bring their ideas to a larger community. As a free event open to the public, we hope to bypass the old economies in order to create new ones, while encouraging collaboration in all forms. A collage of media, sound and art in a space available to anyone off the street, the event is a bazaar of potential collisions, where passersby are treated to the unexpected. For all of this, we found our home base at Super Deluxe, a unique space in Tokyo's midtown, providing a relaxed atmosphere within its modular interior. The event continues to be a celebration of off-kilter creativity in the city: from installation pieces to performance art and visual collaborations; from noise, electronica, ambient sounds and free rock to disorderly jazz and manipulated field recordings. To date, close to 500 artists have been a part of the event, together creating opportunities for unexpected improvisation, collaboration, and festival spirit. ![/sdlx/test_tone_388.jpg](/sdlx/test_tone_388.jpg)
