*Preschool children not admitted. "Hjerteblod” (Lifeblood) is a unique performance, created for the 150th anniversary for the birth of Edvard Munch. Inspired by Munch's paintings, photographs and writings, this performance earned great reviews and played to sold-out houses when it premiered in Norway this summer. On stage, one of Norway’s leading male artists, Lars Lillo Stenberg, is joined by harpist Ellen Sejerstad Bødtker, dancer Ella Fiskum, violinist Odd Hannisdal, and actor Hajime Mori. Lillo-Stenberg has written the music, and Sejersted Bødtker is responsible for the original idea and the directing. Improvisation, dialogues, soundscapes, dance and original music, in addition to texts from Munchs own diaries, letters and poems form this magnificent theatrical concert. The spoken parts of the performance are performed Japanese and feature new translations from Munch's diaries and original texts. “Hjerteblod” is part of the official Munch 150 program, and was recently filmed by NRK (Norwegian Broadcasting Company) to be broadcasted nationwide on Munch`s birthday on December 12th this year. She is a harpist with distinctive features and is today one of Scandinavia’s leading harp soloists. She was educated at the Norwegian Academy of Music, Hochschule für Musik und Dartstellende Kunst Vienna, and at Indiana University, USA. Ellen is known for her strong commitment to contemporary music and works with many leading Scandinavian composers. She holds the position of solo harpist in the ensemble Oslo Sinfonietta. With the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, she has participated in prestigious festivals in many parts of the world. Ellen has recorded eight solo albums and has been a guest artist for numerous recordings in completely different genres, which has lead to concerts in Japan, USA, United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Russia and Canada. She is the founder and director of the Munch performance LIFEBLOOD. Lars Lillo-Stenberg (piano) LARS LILLO-STENBERG is one of Norway’s finest artists. He is known as the founder of the band DeLillos, but has also worked as a composer of film and theater music for years. Lars Lillo-Stenberg also composed the music for the Norwegian film Buddy and Elling. His versatility as a performer has also been shown through his extensive solo projects, which have resulted in several albums. Lars Lillo-Stenberg distinctive music has become recognized as a significant reference for other Norwegian artists. Hajime Mori (actor)  Ella Fiskum (dance) ELLA CHRISTINA FISKUM is the artistic director of Ella Fiskum Danz. She began dancing ballet at age five in Trondheim and at age fifteen she was admitted as the youngest student ever at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts, and later studied in St. Petersburg and Stuttgart. Despite the fact that she is trained in classical ballet Fiskum has always been interested in other art forms. In 1997 Fiskum choreographed her first piece with four dancers and a string quartet. Three years later she founded Ella Fiskum Danz. As a choreographer Fiskum is concerned with existential themes. The tension between dream and reality, and love, is a recurrent theme in her work. Her work, staged with great visual effects and strong contrasts, is often described as visually cinematic. Ella Fiskum latest work “Triptych 0811″ (2012), premiered at EMPAC in New York, to critical acclaim and will be performed live with the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra in Fall 2013. Odd Hannisdal (violin) ODD HANNISDAL is a violinist at the Norwegian State Opera & Ballet, and founding member of the Cikada String Quartet. Hannisdal’s wide musical horizons span contemporary music, classical music, opera and tango. He has played a central role in establishing Cikada as a leading international quartet featuring a contemporary music repertoire and extending the boundaries of the modern string quartet via numerous recordings with contemporary jazz musicians on ECM. In addition to his work on the Norwegian contemporary scene, he is also a violinist in the Norwegian National Opera Orchestra, and a member of two internationally acclaimed ensembles Electrocutango and Tango for 3.
