Their work is influenced by traditional as well as electronic musics, the interaction of vapours, the articulation of wind, the sound of camels asthey drink, the politics of the dwarf man as well as Dangling Jim. He is known as a founding member of the bands Altered States and Sights, as well as his work with composers Otomo Yoshihide and John Zorn. In his early time, he became involved with a number of bands, including Altered States, Date Course Pentagon Royal Garden, Emergency! and Ground Zero. In the 2000s, he performed with composer Otomo Yoshihide and bassist Bill Laswell, recording several albums under the name Soup. He is currently playing with the post-rock band Rovo. Since the eighties he has developed highly diverse and creative sound, playing tenor and soprano sax and the self-made "noise machine."In a number on the 1981 album Hodgepodge, Hirose used the electric guitar as a "noise machine." [Junji Hirose official](http://www.junjihirose.jp/) Matt Mottel (from USA)  Matt Mottel, born in NYC first started playing in the experimental New York Music Scene in 1997 when he was 16 years old and worked at the Knitting Factory. His mentors during his early years in the New York music scene were free jazz legends Tom Bruno (TEST!), Daniel Carter and Cooper-Moore. He absorbed the music of John Zorn, Derek Bailey, Cecil Taylor, Sonic Youth and many more during this period. He formed his band Talibam! with drummer Kevin Shea (Storm and Stress, Coptic Light) in 2003 and Talibam! has toured internationally since 2006. Talibam! has released albums on ESP-DISK' and will release more music with that label in 2017. His keyboard style is most influenced by Sun Ra, Ron Asheton of the Stooges and John Cale of the Velvet Underground. He likes to say 'his fingers are his sequencer' and employs virtuosic technique with sonic ingenuity and creativity; utilizing interesting effect pedals and sonic devices to make unique and idiosyncratic music! His use of warped female vocals, tortured beats, multilayered soundtracks have gained recognition for his work.
