LTY (Lai Tsung Yun)
A young artist with a background in industrial design, Lai Tsung Yun currently studies in the New Media Art MFA program at the Taipei National University of the Arts. He is also the curator of the sound art event series Lacking Sound Festival. His creative practice started first with videotape as a pursuit of the mean- ings that can be given to life. In more recent years, having developed a feel for mixing feedback noise and field recordings, his performances combine both video and sound — the video of Taiwanese folk religious ceremonies and the sound of a wall of noise, accent- ing more clearly a mysticness. In 2013 he became curator of one of Taiwan’s most representative sound art events, Lacking Sound Festi- val, which has presented over 100 experimental per- formance events since 2007. Entering its 10th year, Lacking Sound Festival is a platform that seeks to promote sound artists in Taiwan and at the same to develop collaborative exchanges with sound art organ- isations abroad.

Berserk (Jared Xu)
Jared Xu has been active since 2015, at first making his own instruments to create a sound strongly influenced by the noise music of 1980s and 90s Japan. Now having more performance experience behind him, he primarily uses the no-input method, working with a mixer and effects pedals. He has put out two albums as well as a split record with Japanese noise artist Merzbow. He has been more active abroad in recent years, having participated in a digital compilation released by the Hun- garian label Unsign Records, and having a forthcoming work set for release on cassette tape by the label Harsh Noise London. In 2016 he travelled with the Taiwanese experimental music and noise label Kandala Records to the UK for a performance at Cafe Oto, a key venue for sound art. He has also been active in Taipei, performing with the Japa- nese noise musician Yoshinori Motoki, the French impro- visational cellist Hugues Vincent, and in collaboration with members of the Chinese noise and experimental music label WV Sorcerer Productions.

TzuNi (Hung Tzu Ni)
Space and sound, sound and body, body and machine, machine and ritual, ritual and poetry, poetry and space.In a social landscape filled to the brim with busy work, TzuNi seeks to create a setting or an environ- ment where a listener or viewer might enter into a dream state, momentarily isolated from the outer world, and in that space be able to more intensely perceive one’s frame of mind & body.Her installations explore the reciprocal relation formed between light as it is constructed and sound as it is embodied in a space, as well as the environ- ments where they are interactively engaged.

Yousuke Fuyama
Yousuke Fuyama was born in Nagano, Japan in 1983. He is an Audio and Visual Artist.He has been studying musical research and sound art and completed Master’s Degree in Media Science at Tokyo University of Technology Graduate School of Bionics, Computer and Media Sciences. His main focus on the expressions with audio and visuals through data interconversion using various interfaces programs and algorithms. He also works in The National University of Electro-Communications as an researcher.
