ラップトップ・バトルはラップトップ・ミュージシャン達による新種の真剣勝負。高速連打と絶妙なブレイクを操り、最終的に勝ち残った人…それは次世代のミュージシャン。どんなスタイルの音楽でも演奏でき、オーディエンスが判定を下します。このイベントはアメリカ、カナダはもとより、最近ではＵＫ、ドイツでもポピュラーになってきました。今年の夏初めて、そのラップトップ・バトル が日本に上陸します。
バトルでは、出場者に数分間の時間が与えられ、オーディエンスが次のラウンドへの通過者を選ぶのです。次のラウンドでは、もう少し長めの時間が設けられます。最終ラウンドでは、その腕が明らかになります。誰でもこのイべントに参加できますので、参加希望の人は、サイトでフォームに記入してください! イべントをより盛り上げるために、参加者の選考を行うことがあります。スポンサーよりソフトウェアパックやコントローラやTシャツなどを商品として提供されます。日本の第1回のLAPTOP BATTLEです!

Laptop Battle sees a new breed of musicians battle it out to remain the last man standing in a contest of quick fire bouts and eliminations. Any style of music can be played and the crowd response influences the judges' decisions. This event is popular in America, Canada and now in the UK and Germany.This summer, for the first time, Laptop Battle comes to Japan.
Contestants each have a few minutes to win over the crowd and convince the judges that they should be the one to go through to the next round. As battlers are eliminated, consequent rounds have longer bouts for battlers to show off their talent. The final round reveals the“king of the qwerty". Anyone is welcome to register to take part in this event. To enter for this contest, musicians can visit the website and fill out the compete form. Contestants will be selected in order to make a varied an interesting event. Sponsors are donating merchandise for prizes including full software packages, hardware controllers and T-shirts.
