Artist Information:
Schnellertollermeier (Switzerland)
With their genre-defying body of work and their highly precise, transcendental live shows, the Swiss trio has earned a firm place on international festival stages from Europe to South America, in China, Japan, Canada, the USA and India — always in search of the greatest possible intensity.
In 2026, too, the three musicians are not concerned with managing their egos, optimising the marketability of their output, or the general comfort of their listeners, but with abolishing hierarchies: the traditional power relations between drums, bass and guitar are consistently dissolved in Schnellertollermeier’s music. What remains constant is the commitment to submit themselves to a shared organism, within whose inner life the silhouettes of the individual sonic identities dissolve.
Their new album for 2026, “Shadow Web” is remarkably restrained for this band, multilayered and touching, and shows three musicians who, over 20 years, have developed a blind understanding and trust in one another — so much so that Julian Cowley of the British music magazine The Wire suspected telepathic magic behind the three Swiss musicians’ clairvoyant interplay.
The new album proclaims no answers; it allows for ambiguity and creates time for immersion. It is an album for everyone who wants time to expand, and for everyone who does not distinguish between sound, physicality and energy. And it is an album for everyone who sometimes suspects that their inner self sounds like the outermost reaches of the world.

Chris SSG (MNML SSGS)
Chris SSG is best known as the co-founder of the now defunct MNML SSGS blog in the 2010s, which was recognized as a leading source of critical insight on electronic music. Following the end of the blog, he has devoted his energies to DJing and organising parties in Tokyo, and in the process has become an integral part of Japan’s electronic music community. As a DJ, Chris SSG has taken a less common approach, refining a distinct vision of ambient and experimental music that extends into beats. His sets explore different sounds joined together by one aesthetic: a search for beauty.

David Dicembre
David Dicembre has lived in Tokyo since 2003 and has been spinning records for just as long. He has curated parties at clubs like WOMB, Mitsuki, Contact and Eleven. He has also booked artists for Rainbow Disco Club and Boiler Room Japan. Together with Chris SSG, he has organized the regular chill-out party Sound Garden in Tokyo since its first edition in 2012. The party is built around ambient, downbeat and deep electronic music. His DJ sets range from downbeat, ambient, minimal wave and disco through to house and techno. A long-time fan of 1980s electronic music, he likes to keep his sets relaxed and open.
