東京生まれ。90年代初頭の東京クラブシーンで活躍するDJやミュージシャンに影響を受け、自身もDJへと傾倒していく。都内を中心に参加するpartyは多数。夏は"LIFE FORCE"など多くの野外partyに出演。DJ活動の他に、HBのMAKI999、ARATA、高木壮太、テッペイらとのバンド"LOVE ME TENDER"ではT.SAXとして参加。オリジナル・トラックの制作も積極的に行い。"TURBOSONIC vol.1"や、"underground broadcasting"などへの楽曲提供。インストゥルメンタル・バンド"9dw"や、NYのハウス・レーベル"Strictry Rhythm"などのREMIXを制作。またデザイナーとしても様々なアートワークを手掛けるなど、多彩な活動を続けるアーティスト。

Ryu Konno
昆野立(コンノリュウ)。そのDJスタイルはダンスミュージックを基本とし、クラシックからラテン、ジャズを経て邦楽／民謡までを取り込み柔軟に変化する物語性の高い選曲を見せる。随所で繰り出されるまるで楽器のパートのような鋭くリズミカルなスクラッチも見所のひとつ。近年はスクラッチ、エフェクト、オリジナルトラックを駆使し、生楽器、LAPTOPミュージックとのセッションライブ等も精力的に行い、DJとしてレコーディングにも参加。2008年大型野外フェスティバルSense of Wonderに出演。2009年開催のフェスティバル Urban Tribes'09ではDJ KRUSH, FUMIYA TANAKA, KENNY LARKIN, Tokyo No 1 SOUL SETの出演するGRAND FLOORにてオープニングアクトとして出演。アグレッシブでアナーキーなDJスタイルが話題を呼ぶ。トラックメイカーとしても2005年コンピレーションアルバムへの参加によりデビュー。2010年、ジャンルを超えたゲストミュージシャンとともに13曲収録のフルアルバム「ミカイセカイ」を完成させ10 月6日、発売を迎える。

ウィンストン・スミス「33 IDOLS」展
会期：10月31日（日）～11月5日（金）
ウィンストン・スミスはカリフォルニアに住むコラージュ・アーティストである。彼の作品はDEAD KENNEDYSやGREEN DAY、D.O.A.、No Means No、JELLO BIAFRA、BEN HARPERなど、アメリカの有名なパンクバンドのアルバムジャケットに多数使われており、超現実的で社会を皮肉ったコラージュ作品で広く知られている。
80以上のレコードジャケットの他、The New Yorker、Spin、Playboy誌などの表紙やイラスト、本の表紙、記事なども手がけている。最近では、「ＸＬ」誌（イタリア最大の日刊誌La Reppublica発刊のカルチャー誌）に掲載された。サンフランシスコの出版社LASTGASPからは3冊もの作品集を出版しており、現在240ページに及ぶ回顧的作品集の準備をしている。大きなアート展覧会をローマ、ミラノ、フローレンス、トリノで開き、アートショーをパリ、ロンドン、ダブリン、ジュネーヴ、ニューヨーク、シカゴ、ロサンゼルス、サンフランシスコで開いた。TシャツのデザインはAlternative Tentacles RecordsやHurley Internationalにより、世界中に出回っている。DEAD KENNEDYSのDKロゴやAlternative Tentaclesのコウモリロゴはアパレルやアクセサリー業界にも広く流通している。またバンドやイベント用のスケボーやポスターのデザインも多数手がけている。

Ryu Konno
RYU KONNO’s DJing style is based on dance music with selections from a story-rich world of Classical music, Latin, Jazz / Folk Song that he covers with great flexibility. His keen and rhythmical scratches can be heard everywhere as musical instruments making for another one of the highlights of his style. Recently, he is actively doing sessions with other musicians (drums, sax, cello, wood bass etc.) while using scratches, effects and original tracks. In 2008 and 2010 he played at the big open air music festival “Sense of Wonder”. He also performed the GRAND FLOOR opening act at Urban Tribes’09 along with DJ KRUSH, FUMIYA TANAKA, KENNY LARKIN and Tokyo No 1 SOUL SET where his aggressive and anarchic DJing style won him a good reputation. RYU KONNO made his track maker debut on a compilation album in 2005 and released his latest original album “MIKAISEKAI” from RefRain Records in October 2010.

WINSTON SMITH Exhibition
"33 IDOLS" (10/31〜11/5)
SuperDeluxe and ERECT Magazine are pleased to present "33 IDOLS" a solo exhibition by montage artist Winston Smith, who has created some of Punk Rock’s most lasting and iconic symbols. This is Smith’s first solo show in Japan and will feature new work commemorating the 33rd anniversary of his seminal "Cross of Dollars" (1977) that was used for the Dead Kennedys 1981 album "In God We Trust, Inc." which was then banned in England and condemned by the American Religious Right.
"33 IDOLS" will also feature a selection of retrospective works from Smith's 30 year career. "Perhaps the most vibrant collage maestro since Max Ernst," wrote popular underground artist Frank Kozik, who goes on to credit Winston with being "single-handedly responsible for an entire generation's graphic style."
