Rick Potts (Los Angeles Free Music Society : LAFMS) Tori Kudo (Maher Shalal Hash Baz) !!!! DUO !!!! 　 Sound is magic. It's just air vibrating but it has an effect on the mind and spirit. When it arrives at your ear the sound waves enter a tunnel into your head. It hits a drum made of skin. Past the drum is a cave where tiny bones wiggle. They amplify the sound waves and jiggle another skin drum on the other side of the cave. This drum is attached to a liquid filled snail shell. Inside, tiny hairs dance to the waves of liquid movement. The hairs send signals to your brain. Imagine your brain sending signals back to the hairs, that move the liquid, that jiggle the drum, wiggling the bones that push the other drum sending sound waves out of the tunnel, out of your head and into the world. FREE MUSIC SOCIETY (L.A.F.M.S.), Potts played in some of its premier units, Le Forte Four and Airway, and in numerous spinoff ensembles includingSolid Eye and Dinosaurs with Horns. He is a homemade sound scientist with custom hinge-neck guitars, musical saw, samplers and random objects, who produces unique sounds, as alarming as they are funny.
