若き10代の頃のManuel Oberholzer (Feldermelder) 青年は、Amiga 500
(80年代中旬にヨーロッパを中心に人気を集めたパソコン) を使って製作を始めた。そこで培われた規律や集中力は、クリエイティブなビート構築やアレンジメントにおいて今でも応用されている。スティーブ・ライヒやシュトックハウゼン、クラシック・ジャズ、新旧交えたエレクトロニックやアナログ・ミュージックに見られる脱・構造的な作品が主な影響範囲と語る。音楽の多様性が彼に刺激を与え、彼自身の音の冒険を反映し、未だ進化し続ける音を構築し、アーティストとしての才能の噴出に対し、地図とコンパスのガイドとしての役目をしている。 アナログとコントロールされたデジタル装備によって、幅広いレンジでプレイされる彼のサイケデリックなライブショーを世界中でこれまでにパフォーマンスしてきた。共演陣との終わりなきリサーチが彼をよりいっそう不明瞭にし、多種多様な会場、クラブ、フェスティバル、スクワット、美術館、 レイブでの出演を可能にしてきたと言える。Toronaut、Gibraltar Vacuum、Black Cargoes、Deconstructing Drumboys、FM Grand Trioなどの別名義でも活動することで、別の世界観を見せ、新たな音楽表現を探索している。2002年のSpezialmaterialや他レーベルが注目を集めたことにより、FeldermelderはSinner DCやOy、Mimetic、Scrubber Fox、Mochipetなどのリミックス、リ・ワークの分野で新たなレベルへと突入することに成功した。

ニックはこれまでに、ブッ飛んだDJセットとイベントを手掛けることで、チューリッヒのシーンに騒乱を巻きおこしてきたDJ。パーティー・プロモーターとして、レーベルHula Honeysの共同設立者として、またDJとしての彼の活動は、彼の人脈と絶妙なニュアンス、ノイズ、 ヘビーなベースラインと賛美歌によって成り立っている。90年代後期から始めたDJキャリアでは、 好奇心や未知への探索や冒険に対する愛情に突き動かされ、エレクトロニカからダブ、レフトフィールドなヒップホップ、ダブステップ、テクノ、レイブ、エクスペリメントなどの雑多な音楽の間をくぐり抜けてきた。それらのスタイル全てがまとまり、現在の彼のDJスタイルとして一つに集約している。2012年からNik!と相方のDJ Soultは、チューリッヒの伝説的なパーティー “Y nights”のレジデントDJとして活動し、2007年から2010年までエレクトロニカ・アクトのSharestの片割れとしても活動。2011年からは実験的でダビーなブレイクビーツを追求した新プロジェクト “Bear the Eagle” を開始している。これまでにスイス、オーストリア、ドイツ、日本、中国、イタリア、ハンガリー、ラトビアでのフェスティバルやパーティーに出演し、Mouse on Mars、Laurel Halo、The Gaslamp Killer、Andy Stott、DMX Krew、NHK’Koyxen、Addison Groove、Donna Summer、Dimlite、Cylob、Ceephax、Wisp、Karl Marx Stadt、Otto von Schirachらとの共演を果たしている。

FDF aka Fallopian Disco Force (MORO x MEMAI x H.S. Love Hennessey)
ヒップホップやノイズ、ダブステップ、さらにはターキッシュロックまであらゆるジャンルを挑戦的にミックスし、独自のサイケデリック・ディスコサウンドでフロアを揺らす完全即興ライブバンド。90年代後半に結成、発狂カーニバルの余興からデルタ・ブルースのハウリングノイズをもカバーするモンドサウンドと、カオスに練り上げていく即興パフォーマンスを貫いている。HS LOVE Hennessy（エレクトロニクス/ダブ）とMORO（ドラム）を中心に様々なゲストパフォーマーとのセッションを経て、2012年よりDJ MEMAI（ターンテーブル）を迎え、現在の3人編成となる。ぶっ壊れていくビート、おぼろげなエキゾティカ、そしてキテレツなインプロヴィゼーションで構築された予測不可能なマッシュアップがオーディエンスを別次元のパーティーへと誘う。

DJスタイルはダンスミュージックを基本とし、クラシックからラテン、ジャズを経て邦楽／民謡までを取り込み柔軟に変化する物語性の高い選曲を見せる。随所で繰り出されるまるで楽器のパートのような鋭くリズミカルなスクラッチも見所のひとつ。2008年、2010年と大型野外フェスティバルSense of Wonderに出演。また2010年、ゲストにU-zhaan、坪口昌恭、さや（テニスコーツ）等、ジャンルを超えたアーティストを迎え13曲入りの1stアルバム「ミカイセカイ」を発表。DJにしかなし得ないジャンルレスなフィーリングとフィジカルな楽曲群は細分化され過ぎたシーンに豊かな音楽の可能性を提示する事に成功している。2013年よりNOEL-KITとのブレイクビーツユニット天狗マガジンを結成。

As a young teenager Manuel Oberholzer aka Feldermelder made his initial efforts on an Amiga 500. The discipline and focus that was needed to work on trackers still lives on in his creative beats and arrangements. Feldermelder’s influences range from the decomposed structure works of Steve Reich and Stockhausen to more classic Jazz, electronic and anlalog music from the now and before and tomorrow. The diversity of the music that inspires him, finds reflection in his own sonic adventures, forming his ever evolving sound, combining as map and compass to guide his artistic outbursts. His psychadelic live acts, played on a wide range of analog and controlled digital equipement, made him perform in all over the world. His endless research with others musicians made him become even more obscure, allowing him to play all different kinds of venues, clubs, festivals, squats, museums, forests, ... Other Projects like Toronaut, Gibraltar Vacuum, Black Cargoes, Deconstructing Drumboys andFM Grand Trio made him tick all different universes, and and explore new ways of musical expression. Coming to the attention of Spezialmaterial and other labels in early 2002, Feldermelder has stepped up as remixer, re-working Sinner DC, Oy, Mimetic, Scrubber Fox, Mochipet and many others.

Nik! has been causing disturbance in his city with rakish sets and events for years. As promoter, as co-founder of the label Hula Honeys or as DJ: his activities are always about the connections, about nuances and noises, about heavy basslines and hymns. He is known for sets that oscillate between styles and bring things together - opening windows to musical dawn, or doom.
Since the beginning of his DJ-life in the late 1990s, Nik! has traversed a broad array of musical stlyes from Electronica and Dub over Leftfield HipHop, Dubstep, Techno, Rave and experimental music, driven by curiosity and his love for exploration and adventures. Today, all these influences might slip into a single set. 2012/13, Nik! and Soult shared the DJ-residency for the „Y nights“, a classical music series in a club setting. From 2007 ‒ 2010, he was half of the live Electronica act Shares, since 211 he’s been exploring the dubby and downbeat sides with his solo project Bear the Eagle.
Nik! has shared the stages of clubs and festivals in Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Japan, China, Italy, Hungary and Latvia with acts like Mouse on Mars, Laurel Halo, The Gaslamp Killer, Andy Stott, DMX Krew, NHK'Koyxen, Addison Groove, Donna Summer, Dimlite, Cylob, Ceephax, Wisp, Karl Marx Stadt or Otto von Schirach.

Hula Honeys is a music label for *emotronic sunshine* based in Zürich, Switzerland. The label has been focussing on releasing music digitally and on vinyl with loose connections to the electronic spheres since 2007. Lets call it special, intense, true school, open minded, imaginative and inspired music ‒ the influences go from Electronica, Bass Music, HipHop, Leftfield, IDM and beyond.
