HINOMARI
HINOMARI plays new generation loud dance music. They absorb both
electronic and rock elements to create a completely new and unknown
beautiful edgy sound. HINOMARI released their 1st mini album “MELLOW
ME” in May 2012.

Omodaka
Omodaka began as a project that fused music and motion graphics. During his live performance, Omodaka uses a DS Lite, PSP, GAMEBOY, Kaossilator, and LCD display to create a mysterious 8bit chaotic scene. JACOBS
JACOBS are a 3-piece dream pop/ indie rock band from Tokyo.
With influences from trip-hop, folk, and electronica, JACOBS songs
often follow a pop format but include a variety of eastern and western
elements, at times airy and at times melancholic. Vocalist/composer
Ananda Jacobs produces tracks using a combined affinity for computer
music and classical arrangements, while guitarist Takeya Yoshimura and
bassist Naoto Fukuju round out the trio with lush guitar and bass
melodies.

Based in Tokyo, two-man unit +null consists of dancer Rei Maruyama and
graphic designer Koh Katsuda. Their unique performances combine
classical Japanese dance with carefully crafted motion graphics.

Yuya Takeda (VJ)
Born in 1988, Tokyo. Yuya Takeda is multi 2D/3D, motion graphics,
musician, interaction design general artist working in Japan.

Adrian Hogan (Live Art)
Illustrating the world surrounding him, Adrian Hogan is an
inconspicuous observer of the everyday. Capturing the daily moments
that go unnoticed to others, Adrian enjoys highlighting cultural
interactions and gestures with humour and beauty.

Unusual Club (Djs)
Our musical style is very broad, hence the “Unusual” name. We typically play a back-to-back set. It sometimes creates discordances since our taste and mood can be different, but we appreciate the “wave” that results. Although our musical styles range from rock, indie, reggae, asl the way to dub, funk, jazz, new wave and hip hop, the common ‘roots’ that we often revisit are mostly electronic/techno/house. We have been regular DJs at SNIFF SNIFF (now Roarrr) and CONTROL parties. Paul is English and Sebastien is French Canadian, both based in Tokyo for about 8 years.

This&That Cafe is a free event open to the public in which artists from all genres and backgrounds donate their time and talents in the spirt of sharing. It is a place where music and visual arts meld in unexpected collaborations. A forum for artists from afar to meet with local luminaries amidst the dense and eclectic pool of talent in Tokyo. A venue to gather, exchange ideas, share artistic inclinations and wax poetic in a causal community of old friends and new acquaintances. Come early to get a seat and take advantage of the fetching fare on the SuperDeluxe menu, or just pop in for a drink on your way home from work. All are welcome.
