Art enthusiasts, the curious, and the thirsty can experience a unique space, recreating the atmosphere of the Cabaret Voltaire - birthplace of Dadaism in 1916 Zurich. Every evening, the Cabaret Voltaire at SuperDeluxe will present a variety of groundbreaking performances featuring dance, music, poetry and more.  Artist Information: Jacques DEMIERRE (Switzerland)  Jacques Demierre is a pianist, composer and improviser. Whether acoustic or electro-acoustic, respectful of traditional music writing or embracing free improvisation, his experimentations feed into music as well as sound poetry and sound intervention in situ. They are all driven by the same constant search for consciousness of sound. Author of numerous pieces for ensemble or voice, he also explores the power of everyday noises. Extending the sound possibilities of the piano instrument, Jacques Demierre also interrogates the ways in which it can approach the sphere of language. He develops a very cross and interdisciplinary critical conception of music which gives him the opportunity to work with artists from very different backgrounds. He is a graphic-de-signer and collage artist. In 2006, his work was accepted for Takashi Nemoto's solo exhibition called "Takashi Nemoto and Others/Selected! Everyday Cheerful". In 2007, he started working on "live silk prints" using silk screen printing and the work which focuses on the value of money. In addition, he also collaborated with other artists such as Winston Smith, KING JOE and SHOHEI and held solo exhibitions at museums and galleries as well as participated in group exhibitions. The collection of collaboration work with Winston Smith, the "22Idols", was released in 2011. He also held an exhibition called "TOKYO POP!!" in San Francisco. His most recognized activities include the chief visual artist for "GENGA exhibition: Katsuhiro Otomo", art direction / design for "ERECT Magazine" and the design work for "RANGOON RADIO" that is co-authored by Naohiro Ukawa / Yutanpo Shirane / Hiro Yumita (Tokyo Kilala company). Right now, he is involved in book design, DVD CD jacket design, advertising, apparel and event planning. He is indiscriminately (or unconsciously) active in a wide range of mediums.
