SuperDeluxe has curated a special program for the "Tatami" space in MoN Takanawa as part of NU FESTIVAL 2026.
We are excited to present a wide range of artists in such a unique space in the heart of Tokyo, where SuperDeluxe began!
NU FESTIVAL
NU Festival is a festival platform that uses music, art, and science as its starting point to create new experiences using the city itself as its stage. A diverse program unfolds across various spaces in the city, including live performances, installations, technology experiences, and talks, where new discoveries emerge as an extension of everyday life.
NU Live, NU Art, NU Station, NU Park, and NU Connect—five interconnected programs—transform the entire city into a single festival, seamlessly linking music, art, the city, and people. Encounter new inspirations and discover a different experience with each visit.
NU Art × SuperDeluxe
"NU Art" is a program that allows you to experience the cutting edge of music, art, and technology by traversing two contrasting stages: the experimental creative space "Box 300" and the approximately 100-tatami mat space "Tatami."
TATAMI program information
"Friday (6/26) features fun from some of our earliest experiments. A rare re-union of SuperDeluxe co-founders Namaiki presenting an organic audio/visual installation together with Keiji Ito and several of their closest collaborators.
Saturday (6/27) explores subtle analog and digital trajectories from contemporary artists working with flowers, electronics, paint, acoustic phenomena, video, and more. Expect both gentle and dynamic movements appropriate for a traditional space nestled into a modern facility.
Sunday (6/28) probes new perspectives by fusing both urban/local and retro/future. Come frolic or laze on many tatami to a wonderful selection of unique yet nostalgic sounds and sights. Deep cuts culled from the edges of Japan."
