Morgan Fisher (モーガン・フィッシャー)

オルガン・キーボード奏者。作曲家。アーティスト。イギリスでキーボード奏者としてラブ・アフェアー、モット・ザ・フープル、クイーンにて活動後、 1985年から日本在住。活動の幅は広く、現在も世界の第一線で活躍中。ソロ活動ではアンビエント、ミニマル、即興演奏を行う。日本では喜納昌吉、細野晴臣、ブーム、おおたか静流、中村明一、八木美知依らと共演し、オノ・ヨーコ、ブームのアルバムをプロデュース。他のプロデュース・アルバムに１分間の曲を多数収録した「ミニチュアーズ」「ミニチュアーズ２」モット・ザ・フープルのトリビュート・アルバム「モス・ポエト・ホテル」など話題作も多数。近年には、ハンス・ヨアヒム・レデリウスとのコラボレーション・アルバムなど。また実験映像、映画、TV、CMなどの音楽も制作。

事前予約いただいたお客様は、「Morgan's Organ」に無料でご入場いただけます。ご予約されずに当日直接ご来場いただいた場合、入場料は1,000円になります。
※事前予約の受付は前日午後6時で閉め切らせて頂きます。

ご来場の方にはもれなく、モーガンのソロ・レコーディング・アーカイブからセレクトされた楽曲を、コンサート開催日から1週間限定でダウンロードいただける特典をご用意しています（MP3形式。毎月変わります）。ダウンロード方法は、当日ご入場時にお知らせします。

「Morgan's Organ」は、原則として、毎月第三木曜日に開催されています。前衛的なビデオライブラリからセレクトした映像作品や、モーガン撮影の写真などもあわせてお楽しみください。

作品はマット・クリスタル・バックライトプリント（すべてピクトラン紙を使用）だけでなく、プラチナプリントや同じタイトルでライトペインティングを音楽と共に収録したDVD等、
様々な形状で展示いたします。

Morgan's Organ vol.75

To celebrate 75th Morgan's Organ, his new DVD, "The Light Painter" will be on sale. It features 121 moving versions of Morgan's light paintings combined with a selection of his improvised music.
※There will be no Morgan's Organ in October.

About Morgan Fisher

Keyboard player / Composer / Producer / Light Painter. Born in London, England, on January 1st, 1950. '68~'76: Played keyboards in The Love Affair, Third Ear Band, Mott the Hoople, and his own progressive rock band Morgan. '78~'80: Art-punk album "Hybrid Kids," the cult classic "Miniatures" album (51 one-minute tracks by cutting-edge musicians from Robert Fripp to Hector Zazou) and his first ambient album "Slow Music" with Lol Coxhill. '82: Played live with Queen. '85: Moved to Japan, developed his improvised music, and created abstract photographs called Light Paintings (as on the Morgan's Organ album covers). Played with Japanese artists Yoko Ono, The Boom, and Haruomi Hosono. Recent works: an album with Hans-Joachim Roedelius (of Cluster), performances with The Minus 5 and Robyn Hitchcock, music for film and TV, two exhibitions of light paintings in Tokyo.

Entrance information: For those who reserve in advance (by 6pm on the day before the concert), entry to Morgan's Organ is FREE.

For those without reservations, there a modest 1000 yen entrance fee. All who attend are entitled to a free mp3 download from Morgan's extensive archive of his solo recordings. Changing each month, the download will be available for one week following each concert. Information re how to download the mp3 will be given at the door.

Morgan's Organ usually happens on the 3rd Thursday of every month.
It features selections of Morgan's photographs plus astonishing films from his avant-garde video library.

Gallery Cosmos, Meguro

THE LIGHT PAINTER is the title of Morgan's next art exhibition. It offers an overview of Morgan¹s 20 years of light painting - a wider range than has ever been shown until now. "Light Painting" describes Morgan's way of creating stunning visual art by moving the camera during long exposures in front of various types of light sources. He is one of the only photographers who has for such a long time specialised in and refined this fascinating art form - a kind of "visual music."
Images range from early simple city lights shot on 35mm film to dazzling new sunlight paintings taken with a digital Hasselblad/PhaseOne system. They will be presented on various papers (mainly Pictran) from canvas-like matts to iridescent backlights, in sizes from A4 to over a meter wide. The show will also feature a continuous projection of the accompanying art-and-music DVD of the same title.

Morgan will give a live performance on vintage analog keyboards on Sept. 20 (a public holiday).
The online art gallery has been radically updated to coincide with the forthcoming exhibition.
