"Over the past 9 years, SuperDeluxe has been home to our singular monthly event, Test Tone. In this time, we have seen a modest gathering snowball into an impossible community of uncompromising soundmakers, vanguard performers, remarkable media artists and some especially warm and curious onlookers. After inviting over 1000 artists into the fray, who have in turn delivered countless hours of rare and exotic performances, we have decided to end the series on a formidable high note. To mark the 100th Test Tone, we bring a festive and raucous 3-day celebration to SuperDeluxe on January 10-12, 2014. It's been an exceptionally long ride - perhaps one of the longest running regular concert series of its kind in Japan, and we are fortunate to have had the phenomenal SuperDeluxe staff on our side through it all. Looking forward, we'll leave the door open to the possibility of more events, but they will be something different from our Tuesday proceedings. To us, Test Tone has always seemed more than a regular event or concert series - it has been a hub of experimentation as well as an open forum for visiting artists to engage and challenge the Tokyo community. We hope these unique connections and collaborations will continue to happen through other avenues. Packed with magical visual artists and many of Test Tone's finest performers, these final three days will be dazzling, hellacious, and delectably free of charge. We hope you can join us to celebrate this marvelous series in an extraordinary way."
