マルタ・フォスベリ Marta Forsberg
マルタ・フォスベリは、インスタレーションアート、ドローン・ミュージック、自由即興の分野で活動する、スウェーデン人のコンポーザー、サウンドアーティスト、ヴァイオリニストである。実体験のように感じられる環境を作ることに専念しながら、フォスベリの作品はマルチチャンネル拡張機能や光の彫刻物ー音波の視覚化を通じて知覚領域を広げている。2012年には、コンポーザーのLo Kristensonと共にKonstmusiksystrarを立ち上げた。Konstmusiksystrarは女性とトランスの分離主義的オーガニゼーションであり、現代音楽における平等の権利に焦点を当て活動している。詳細についてはこちら:www.konstmusiksystrar.se

クリスティーン・ エドルンド Christine Ödlund
クリスティーン・エドルンドは、1963年生まれのスウェーデン人ビジュアルアーティスト、コンポーザーである。エドルンドは、1992年から1995年にコンストファック国立美術大学で写真、1995年から1996年にスウェーデン王立美術大学でビデオアートを専攻した。その後、ストックホルムの有名な電子音楽スタジオEMSにてエレクトロアコースティック音楽を学んだ。1995年に、ギャラリーYnglingagatan1にて初の個展を行い、近年ではMagasin IIIの展覧会に参加した。彼女のレコーディングは、スウェーデンのレーベルIdeal Recordingsからリリースされている。エドルンドの活動は、版画、ビデオ、彫刻、音楽と多岐に渡る。「音声と画像が組み合わされた私の作品では、付随した隠れた感覚、次元、または自然の未知の法則を模索しながら、知覚的な運動が二つの芸術形態の間の空間にフォーカスしようと試みています。そして、現象がこの音声と画像の間の創造的な空間によって作られているのです。」

テーリ・テムリッツ Terre Thaemlitz
テーリ・テムリッツ(1968年生まれ)は数々の受賞歴のあるマルチメディアプロデューサー、ライター、講演者、教育者、編曲家、DJ、Comatonse Recordingsレコードレーベルのオーナーである。作品のテーマは、ジェンダー、セクシュアリティー、階級、言語、民族、人種を含むアイデンティティー・ポリティックスと、商業メディアによる社会経済に対する進行中の分析を批判的に結びつけたものである。これまでに15以上のソロアルバム、数々の12インチシングルやビデオ作品をリリースしている。音楽と文化についての著述は国際的に数多くの書籍、学会誌、雑誌の中で発表されている。ノン・エッセンシャリスト(反本質主義者的)トランスジェンダリズムとクィアに関する問題の講演者や教育者としてヨーロッパと日本のパネルディスカッションに参加している。2001年1月より日本に在住。
スーパー・デラックス・エディションでは、テーリのオーディオ・ビジュアルの最新作「Deproduction」を英語と日本の同時スクリーニングで上映します。この作品でテーリ・テムリッツは、西洋の人間中心主義者の家族概念に潜む、重苦しく不快で偽善的なパワーダイナミクスについて、またそれらがグローバリゼーションの過程を通じてどう国際的に機能しているかについて掘り下げています。注意:テーリ本人はこの上映には出席しません。

Edition Festival for Other Music「もうひとつの音楽のためのフェスティバル」は、ジョン・チャントラーのオーガナイズにより、2月にストックホルムで開催されました。2019年の4回目のエディションでは、Annea Lockwood、Oren Ambarchi & crys cole、Sarah Hennies、Kassel Jaegerなどのアーティストを迎える予定です。2018年11月のフェスティバルでは、チャントラーのレーベル1703 Skivbolagetとのコラボレーションにより、2016年の1回目のエディションでEllen Fullman とOkkyung Leeにより演奏されたコンサートのレコーディング「The Air Around Her」がリリースされます。Bill Naceのアートワークと共に、CD、LP、デジタルダウンロードにて購入可能です。

Marta Forsberg is a Swedish composer, sound artist and violinist working in the field of installation art, drone music and free improvisation. Dedicated to creating an immersive environment, Forsberg’s work extends the sensory realm through multichannel expansion and via light sculptures – a sonic visualisation. In 2012 Forsberg founded Konstmusiksystrar together with composer Lo Kristenson. A women and trans separatist organisation working for equality in the Contemporary Music scene in Sweden. Christine Ödlund (1963) is a Swedish visual artist and composer. Ödlund studied photography at Konstfack from 1992-95 and video art at Kungliga Konsthögskolan in Stockholm in 1995-96 and electro-acoustic music at Stockholm’s fame Elektronmusikstudion EMS. Ödlund had her first solo exhibition in 1995 at Galleri Ynglingagatan 1 in Stockholm
and recently presented a major exhibition at Magasin III. Her recordings have been released via the Swedish label Ideal Recordings. She works across different art forms including print-making, video, sculpture and music. “In my artistic work with audio and image, the perceptual exercise is trying to focus on the space between the two art forms in search for additional hidden senses, dimensions or unknown laws of nature, Phenomena has been made in this creative space between sound & image.”

Terre Thaemlitz (1968) is an award winning multi-media producer, writer, public speaker, educator, audio remixer, DJ and owner of the Comatonse Recordings record label. Her work combines a critical look at identity politics – including gender sexuality, class, linguistics, ethnicity and race – with an ongoing analysis of the socio-economics of commercial
media production. He has released over 15 solo albums, as well as numerous 12-inch singles and video works. Her writings on music and culture have been published internationally in a number of books, academic journals and magazines. As a speaker and educator on issues of non- essentialist Transgenderism and Queerness, Thaemlitz has lectured and participated in panel discussions throughout Europe and Japan. As of January, 2001, he resides in Japan.
For Super Deluxe Edition we will present a simultaneous screening in English and Japanese of Terre’s latest audio-visual work Deproduction. In Deproduction, Terre Thaemlitz investigates the awkward, uncomfortable and hypocritical power dynamics behind Western Humanist notions of family, and how they function internationally through processes of globalization. Please note that Terre will not be present in person for this screening.

The Edition Festival for Other Music takes place in Stockholm each February and is organised by John Chantler. The 2019 Fourth Edition will include performances by Annea Lockwood, Oren Ambarchi & crys cole, Sarah Hennies, Kassel Jaeger and more. In November 2018 the festival (in collaboration with Chantler’s label 1703 Skivbolaget) will release ‘The Air Around Her’ a recording of the concert performed by Ellen Fullman and Okkyung Lee as part of the First Edition in 2016. This will be available on CD, LP and Digital Download with artwork by Bill Nace.
