Mako Kubeck

Born in Shizuoka, Mako started ballet as a child at Maeda Ballet Gakuen. She graduated Nihon University College of Art Theater Department and as an original member of Strange Kinoko Dance Company performed in all domestic and foreign productions until 2009. Currently a choreographer and solo dancer, she has appeared in music videos and live performances by Kuchiroro, UA, and Buffalo Daughter. She’s also collaborated with artists from other genres such as Kyotarow, HAMADARAKA, Yuko Kanatani, and Tetsu Saito. Mako is a Certified Trainer of GYROKINESIS® (since 2015) and GYROTONIC® (since 2017).

HAMADARAKA（EruArizono / EmuArizono）

The painter duo consisting of the twins, Eru Arizono and Emu Arizono.
We use all of our senses to grasp temperatures, humidities, textures, lingering imageries, echoes of words, and noises that surround us. The act of sampling, reapplying, and infusing what we have captured give birth to these “creatures.” With “the paradise created by the interfusion of imaginary creatures and time” and “the realm between this world and utopia” as our themes, the two of us always work on the same painting simultaneously by utilizing our fingers and Q-tips etc. to create new artistic effect for each of our artwork. We have created artworks and designs for magazines, fashion brands, movies, and wall paintings etc. At the same time, We have vigorously worked on creating many artworks including drawings, paintings, dolls, and art objects. We have actively participated in exhibitions and artist-in-residence programs within and outside of Japan. In recent years, we have shown our works in New York City (the U.S.), Rotterdam (the Netherlands), The Hague (the Netherlands), Taipei (Taiwan), Berlin (Germany), Düsseldorf (Germany), Mons (Belgium), Brussel (Belgium), Paris (France), Marseille (France), Sète (France), Nantes (France), Brasilia (Brazil), and Oaxaca (Mexico). In 2016, we participated in the group exhibition and artist-in-residence program in the National Museum in Brasilia, Brazil. in 2018, artist-in-residence fresco program in the Qingyun International Art Center in Beijing, China. In 2018, HAMADARAKA Exhibition “EDENDORDORADO” at Diesel Art Gallery, Tokyo. We have published the artbook “YAUYAUPARAISO” (ERECT lab., 2013).
