自作パイプオルガン、声などを主軸としたサウンド・アーティスト。独自の楽器とミニマルなアプローチ、現象をよく観察することを大切にしながら、音響的な探究を続けている実験音楽家。国内では、美術館や地方芸術祭、DOMMUNE、MUTEKなど音楽と美術の間のような領域で活動しながら、Rewire Festival (オランダ)、Big Ears Festival (アメリカ)、Variations Festival (フランス)、MODE (ロンドン)、TECTONICS GLASGOW (スコットランド)、Send+Receive (カナダ)、FIMAV (カナダ) など、ヨーロッパや北米で年に数本のツアーを行う。
リリース作として、スイスのレーベル・Hallow Groundより「iki」(2020)、イギリスのBoomkat Editionsより「KŌMORI」(2020)、ロンドンの33-33より「NOISEEM」(2021)など。

「重力の束縛から魂を解放する」ことを目的として活動。 手段として、マルチチャンネル音響設計、音源制作、オリジナル サウンドシステム開発を専門とし、商業施設から、コンサート、ライブ、演劇、美術の分野では鈴木昭男、吉増剛造、刀根康尚らの作品の音響設計を手がけるなど、音響環境の深化に取り組んでいる。2019年からKOMAKUS名義でも活動を開始、脱中心的な音響空間の創造を各地に仕掛ける。東京都現代美術館MOTアニュアル2019 Echo after echoにおいて作品を発表。
国内スピーカーブランド、TAGUCHIのデザイン、開発等も手がける。

FUJI||||||||||TA is a Sound Artist and composer based in Japan. He creates his unique sound art and music which takes various natural phenomena that respond to his interest in wanting to hear unheard sounds and noises. In 2009 Fujita hand fabricated an original instrument, a Pipe Organ. It has only 11 pipes and no keyboard. Fujita made it with his own imagination, without any specialized knowledge. It was designed to create a landscape rather than function as a musical instrument. The air pump (called “FUIGO”) which is kept moving with the left hand when playing, is based on an ancient blacksmith’s. There is only one of these instruments in the world, so there was no way to play at first. He had to take the time to find it.
His works have been presented at Rewire Festival (NL), Big Ears Festival (US), Pioneer Works (US), Bourse de Commerce (FR), Send+Receive (CA), MODE (UK), Variations (FR), Tectonics Glasgow (UK) and others. He has also collaborated with ∈Ｙ∋ (Boredoms), Akio Suzuki, Keiji Haino, and Rashad Becker.
